Thy National Park is Denmark's first national park and was established in 2007 , with the official opening of the 22nd August 2008 . The area covers 24,370 hectares and extends over an up to 12 km wide belt from Agger Tange in the south to Hanstholm in the north.
The town of Nors is not in the National Park, but is along the bicycle route.
